The Application of Longer Product in CEMS
Application Introduction:
CEMS, (Continuous Emission Monitoring System), is used for continuous and real time monitoring of the concentration and amounts of gaseous pollutants and atmospheric particulates discharged from sources of air pollution. CEMS hardware generally consists of 5 major subsystems: gaseous pollutant (SO2, NOX) monitoring subsystem, atmospheric particulates (dust) monitoring subsystem, flue gas parameter measurement subsystem, a data acquisition & handling subsystem and a data communication subsystem. The pollutant’s concentration, temperature, pressure, flow rate, humidity, oxygen content and other parameters are measured through online sampling. The pollutants emission rates and amounts can be calculated based on this measured data. CEMS are useful tools in the process of gathering emissions data for environmental compliance demonstrations, process control and optimization.
The Customer Requirement:
In order to accurately monitor a source, the gas sample must be promptly presented to the gas analyzer. Normally, gas analyzers are intolerant of contamination by condensed liquids in the source gas. Condensable water vapors and particulates can block flow passages and components, obscure optical sensors and lenses. So prior to presentation the gas analyzers, the sample gas is often filtered and conditioned to remove particulate matter and moisture.
The filtering and conditioning process should not alter the composition of the monitored gas sample, so the conditioning system should be well sealed to prevent air from outside entering through the condensed liquid removal system. The composition of the condensed liquid is complicated, and can be normally corrosive and abrasive, so the removal system must have good chemical and abrasive resistance.
Longer Pump Solution:
Longer’s Peristaltic Pumps can effectively seal tubing without the need for any valves. The peristaltic pumps have a good self-priming capacity, which makes them ideal for vacuum applications. When pumping fluid, it only comes into contact with the bore of the tubing, and the peristaltic pump with the correct tubing, can be used to pump corrosive and/or abrasive fluids.
Longer peristaltic pumps have a wide range of flow rate, which can be accurately managed through precise speed controls; they have the capability to run dry without causing any damage, making them ideal for use in the condensed liquid removal system.
Customer Value:
1.Good sealing capability ensures the conditioning system sealed well to prevent the air entering from the condensed liquid removal system.
Longer peristaltic pump can effectively seal the tubing without any valve, even when the pump is inactive. This sealing capability is applicable for gas, liquid or mixed phases.
Longer peristaltic pump has good self-priming capability and can develop a vacuum of -0.95Bar(g).
With the fixed speed peristaltic pump, the condensed liquid can be removed under a stable flow rate. With the variable speed peristaltic pump, the condensed liquid can be removed under variable flow rate, which can be controlled easily.
Longer peristaltic pump has various control models, RS485 communication control, analogue signal control and panel control, which can be integrated with the CEMS control system to ensure the condensable vapor will be removed in a timely fashion.
When pumping the condensed liquid, the liquid only contacts the bore of the tubing. By using the tubing with good abrasive resistance, the pump could be used to remove the abrasive condensed liquid for a long time.
Soft particle size<25%*ID (tubing inside diameter)
Hard particle size<5%*ID (tubing inside diameter)
When pumping the condensed liquid, the liquid only contacts the bore of the tubing. By using the tubing with good chemical resistance, the pump could be used to remove the corrosive condensed liquid for a long time.
Longer peristaltic pump does not need the valves and seals when pumping the fluid, and can run dry without damage.
Easy pump operation and tubing change minimize the downtime and maintenance cost.
